It can't hurt. Is your child's hair naturally curly? If you feel uncomfortable with it let him know his hair won't look the same if it is longer. BTW your son is absolutely adorable! Much cuter than the famous boy! Everyone is different though and this kid has the curly hair going for him... your son is a beautiful kid and doesn't need to curly hair to do it for him.

I say let him do it. However, there has to be some rules, like he needs to keep it maintained so that it doesn't look like a rats nest. We all want to look differently than how we were born, he is no different.

I agree with you. My youngest son refused to get his hair cut for the longest time, it was nearly to his waste. He changed his mind one day and got it cut. He didn't like it so now he's growing it out again and it's nearly to his shoulders. During the summer my oldest three dyed their hair. My oldest has brown hair and dyed it blond so that he could dye it blue (the blue didn't show up on the brown hair). My second oldest did his blue (he has natural blond hair) and my second youngest (who is naturally strawberry blond) dyed it red (although it turned out to be more pink then red). It's only hair.

i think he is 9 and want to start creating himself as an individual and mom should let him...he is a cutie forsure, let him, if he dosnt like it, he will change it... he is a kid and they are gonna wanna go with whats "in" especially with the young "stars"

Here's the thing, your son's hair is very short. Will it grow out straight or curly? He might not be able to get his hair like that. So as long as he is prepared to be disappointed, go ahead and let him. Now is as good a time as any to learn that celebrities have stylists and we can't always recreate the look.

He's giong to look adorable!!! Go for it. My son is 9 and his hair is long too - I just tell him he needs a "trim" or a shape up cut every now and then!!

Oh Lord, we're having that problem in our house! The only difference is my son is three. He doesn't want his hair super long, just a little longer like his older male cousins. I said that's fine, but he must help me brush his hair in the morning (he used to have a buzz cut so it was easy). It also can't touch his shirt collar. Go ahead and let your son do it; a little leeway can be a good thing, especially if what they want to do isn't really a big deal. If he wanted blue hair or a tattoo, it would be a different story. He's adorable by the way!

Oh my gosh I love alex %26lt;3 He's such a cutie. I think your son would look adorable with a style like that but usually [from my brothers and cousins i know] once they like it long they WONT get it cut. You might want to set some ground rules first about that. Good Luck!
